Step by Step Instructions

Click on the Zoom link you were provided with.

Enter the Meeting ID that you have been provided with and click ‘Join’

If you are joining from a computer

After using the link or meeting ID for a Zoom meeting for the first time you will need to download an application file.

Google Chrome example:

Google Chrome should automatically download the file. Clicking on the Zoom_launcher.exe file will install Zoom.
Just before entering the meeting you will be prompted to enter a display name.

If you are joining from a mobile device

If you are joining from a mobile device (Apple iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet,) it will indicate for you to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app from the App/Play Store.

If you are joining via Telephone You can join on the telephone.

Enter the Meeting ID and PIN (if required) when prompted after dialing in.

TIPS:

Using Chat

You can use ‘Chat’ to send text chat to all participants or privately to certain participants.

Click on the ‘Chat’ icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, (hover your mouse over the Zoom window if you can’t see the toolbar.)

A chat window will then open. Choose ‘Everyone’ or the name of the person you would like to send a chat to.

Audio only

If you are asked to turn off your camera or do not want to use your camera you can choose to use audio only.

Just click on the camera icon at the bottom of the Zoom window to turn the camera off and on.

Mute Microphone

Just click on the microphone icon that is next to the camera icon to turn the microphone off and on.
