Buy Ambien (Zolpidem) Online | Indications & Dosage | Contraindications & Interactions

In case of regular sleeping problems (insomnia), you should go to the doctor. The treatment is available, but it depends on specific causes of insomnia. In some cases, it is possible to detect and treat an underlying medical or sleep disorder, and this approach is much more effective than a simple treatment of insomnia or its symptoms. Behavioral changes, which can be learned through cognitive behavioral therapy, are generally the best treatment for persistent insomnia. However, there are cases where the prescription sleeping pills can help. Although sleeping drugs don’t treat the main cause of sleep problems, they can help you achieve a much-desired rest.

Persons over the age of 65 and patients with liver dysfunction should take the drug in the dose of 5 mg (1/2 of a pill) per day. Maximum daily dose is 10 mg. The treatment course must be as short as possible – from several days to 4 weeks (maximally). The drug should be taken directly before bedtime.

Symptoms: CNS depression. In the mild form – deafness and sleepiness; in more severe cases – ataxia, hypotension, respiratory depression, more rarely- come. If multiple drug poisoning is excluded, the prognosis is good, even if the patient has taken 400 mg of zolpidem.

Side effects of Ambien

Central nervous system: depending on the dose and individual sensitivity (especially in elderly patients) – vertigo, imbalance, ataxia, headache, daytime sleepiness, loss of attention, muscle weakness, diplopia, anterograde amnesia, as well as paradoxical or psychopathological reactions. Allergic reactions: skin rash and itching.

  • night apnea; – severe liver failure;
  • children and adolescents up to 15 years of age;
  • increased sensitivity to the drug components.

It is recommended to take Ambien for the treatment of myasthenia and simultaneous use of alcohol. In the third trimester of pregnancy, the drug can be used in minimal doses, as the use of benzodiazepines and similar drugs in high doses at the end of pregnancy can lead to arterial hypotension, hypothermia and newborn respiratory distress syndrome, and a few days after birth- the development of withdrawal syndrome in the child. The concentration of zolpidem in breast milk is low, but if Ambien needs to be used during lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped.

Interaction with other drugs

Simultaneous use of Ambien and opioid analgesics, antitussive drugs, barbiturates, antidepressants, sedatives, antihistamines, benzodiazepines, clonidine, neuroleptics and ethanol can lead to the development of symptoms of CNS and respiratory center depression. Simultaneous use of Ambien and clozapine increases the risk of collapse, blood circulation and respiratory failure.

Persistence of insomnia during 7-14 days of treatment indicates the presence of primary mental disorders and/or nervous system disorders. Therefore, to detect these disorders, it is necessary to regularly reassess the patient’s condition. The use of Ambien in patients with depression symptoms requires extreme caution. Due the fact that insomnia can be caused by depression, in case of persistent sleeplessness, it is necessary to re-evaluate the patient’s mental condition in order to detect possible depression.
