Laura Brown is recognized as a certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on
Certification of Physician Assistants. She started her career in healthcare as a certified surgical
assistant/first assistant specializing in Neurosurgery.
During that time, she earned her Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behaviors from Georgia State
University, followed by a Master's Degree in Medical Science from Emory University School of
Laura has specialized in Neurology since 2006, when she gained valuable
experience in brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation at the renowned Shepherd Center
Rehabilitation Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the American Academy of
Physician Assistants and is active in her local chapter.
She currently is engaged in the practice of General Neurology and Pain Management in the outpatient setting.
Her skills include managing patients with complex neurological diseases and chronic pain
syndromes, applying alternative therapies, and performing minor procedures.
